Hip, modern, artsy and refreshingly unpretentious, the Hotel Cosmo, a Kimpton Boutique property, is surely one of the City's best values and better kept secrets. From the lobby, newly renovated in shades of light blue, lavender and olive green, to its connections with the local arts community, there' s nothing commonplace about this venue. The Kimpton Group's very first property - it opened in 1981 as the Bedford - it occupies the beautiful 1929 building that once housed another much- loved San Francisco hotel. The site has a tradition of stimulating creative spirits and playing host to artists and their work.
The environment may be relaxed and informal, but the service certainly isn't.
